Robert A. Pechacek handles an annual budget of $60M for Region 4 Education Service Center


HOUSTON, TX, June 23, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert A. Pechacek, Deputy Executive Director of Financial Services for Region 4 Education Service Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in finance management.

A former financial auditor, Robert A. Pechacek brings an impressive business background to Region 4 Education Service Center, a government organization dedicated to providing professional development and technical assistance to school districts. He recently marked his ninth year as deputy executive director of financial services. In charge of the agency's 60-million-dollar annual budget, Mr. Pechacek is responsible for overseeing financial operations and the budgeting process, assisting government entities in entrepreneurial endeavors, and managing six departments, including the purchasing cooperative and transportation solutions department and Braille services. Proud of the important work that he does for the agency, he attributes his success to his auditing background, the customer service skills that he learned from his father, and the support that he received from his mentors.

Mr. Pechacek earned his bachelor's degree in accounting in 1987 from Oral Roberts University. His professional affiliations include the Texas Association of School Business Officials, the Government Finance Officers Association of Texas, the Association of Educational Service Agencies, and the Association of School Business Officials International. In five years, Mr. Pechacek aspires to become the CEO of an educational service agency.
